It acts like a mirror which reflects the incident beam coming from the headlight of the vehicle to make it glow.RPM Cats Eye Delineators can also be mounted on the poles, and crash barrier that are placed alongside the highways. It is made up of top grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene which is a dense thermoplastic polymer with a higher strength, rigidity and a high temperature resistance up to 105 degree Celsius.

RPM/Cat's Eye are retro-re-flective markers on the road surface which adds visibility at night.
They are made of plastic material or recycled plastic with reflectors for all types of roads. These reflectors should be coated with an abrasion-resistant protective coating. The studs with anchorage or without anchorage can be bonded to the road surface with suitable epoxy/bitumen adhesive.

Thermoplastic road marking paint, also called hot melt marking paint, is a kind of powder Paint. When applied as road surface markings, a hot melt kettle is used to heat it to 200 °C (392 °F), after which it is sprayed on the road surface. The coating then becomes a line after cooling. This paint is thick coating, wear-resisting, bright and reflective. In recent years, practical applications have proved that the marking lines lack certain surface roughness and can easily cause wheel slip, resulting in a traffic accident in snow and rainy weather.
